Overview of Agricultural Institute of Marin (AIM)
![]() Andy is CEO of the Agricultural Institute of Marin (AIM), a local non-profit that works to educate, inspire, and connect communities, responsible farmers, and producers as part of a healthy, earth-friendly, equitable local and regional food system. AIM serves 400+ farmers, food purveyors, and artisans from 40+ California counties who participate in AIM’s nine Certified Farmers Markets across the Bay Area, including our flagship markets at the Marin Civic Center. Andy shares his vision for building a new food landmark: the Center for Food and Agriculture, a world-class, zero-waste gathering space that takes us on a journey from healthy soils to healthy foods to healthy communities. Andy has worked in federal, state, and local anti-hunger, public health, and food systems work for over 15 years. Andy is currently the Co-Chair of the Marin Healthy Eating Active Living Collaborative and serves on the Steering Committees of the Marin Carbon Project and Marin Community Healthy Improvement Project. He lives in San Rafael’s Sun Valley neighborhood and previously served on the Citizens Advisory Committee for Economic Development and Affordable Housing.

![]() Academically, Calum MacKechnie’s areas of expertise are applied linguistics and higher education leadership. His work at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) involves coordinating academic programs for older adults. OLLI arranges various lecture series throughout the year, liaising with faculty from Marin County and the entire Bay Area. The courses are in various academic disciplines, including history, literature, art history, film studies, current events, and science. |

Cooperation among Marin Police Forces
![]() For more than 23 years, Jamie has dedicated himself to keeping the people of Marin County safe. In 1998, Jamie joined the Tiburon Police Department as a police officer before joining the Marin County Sheriff’s Office in 2000. He steadily worked his way up through the ranks from Deputy to Sergeant to Lieutenant to Captain. In December 2018, Jamie was promoted to Undersheriff — the second in command in the office. Jamie also recently served as the Interim Chief of Police for the Tiburon Police Department from September 2020 to April 2021. Jamie was appointed to Sheriff in July 2022. |
