Read the beautiful messages sent to our Rotary Club members from 5th grade teacher Lauri Peters from Sun Valley Elementary School and Pierre Littée, 5th grade teach at Bahia Vista Elementary School expressing heartfelt appreciation for our Mini Grant Award she received. The overwhelming expressions of joy and appreciation from the little TKers.
Letter from 5th grade teacher Lauri Peters from Sun Valley Elementary School
“Happy Monday. I just want to say, thank you to the Rotary from the bottom of my heart and my little TKers. The company is in another country and we received the Superspace giant magnatiles a couple of weeks ago. My kids LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. They are perfect for this age and they love working together to build structures. They are learning to listen to other's ideas, compromise, and learn from their design mistakes. I am beyond grateful and can't thank you all enough. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!”

Dear Rotary Club of San Rafael,
"Thank you again for funding my project this school year. The students spent two weeks reading a nonfiction book About Time: A First Look at Time and Clocks. They engaged in conversations and completed a learning packet to further their understanding of the various ways humans have tracked time, and the evolution of the clock from a simple sundial to elaborate mechanisms. Please find attached to this email photos of them engaging with the final performance task of building a wooden clock, which was only able to be funded thanks to your generous contribution to my classroom."
Thank you very much.
